Emergency Casualty Care, Basic Trauma

North Harford Firearms Training is proud to be a member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) as well as a Recognized Educational Partner of the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC).
This 5 hour course which is geared towards civilians, introduces evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best possible trauma care to patients in a civilian tactical environment. Learn how to STOP THE BLEED. It's purpose is to decrease preventable deaths, saving lives that otherwise might be lost during a traditional "staged" EMS response.
Our TECC instructor possesses 14 years Fire/Rescue/EMS experience as both career and volunteer, is a Nationally Certified Fire Service Instructor as well as AHA/ASHI BLS instructor certified.
Course topics will include the following:
• History of tactical combat care
• Causes of field mortality
• Zones of care
• Survival Mindset
• Trauma Assessment
• Terminal Ballistics
• Hemorrhage control with an emphasis on tourniquet use
• Basic airway management
• Patient evacuation
• Transferring care to Police/EMS
• Creating and using an Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK)
NHFT's TECC course meets the guidelines established by the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC).
Tuition of $150 includes an Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) valued at $65.
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due at time of registration. Deposits may be applied to a future class in the event of registration cancellation.
